Up close and personal with history

The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum’s “Mynarski Memorial” Avro Lancaster Mk10 Bomber will be at the museum during the August long weekend.
Head down to the Western Canada Aviation Museum for your chance to climb into the cockpit, walk through the aircraft, see the mid-upper-gunner’s turret, the bomb bay, and the tail-gunner’s turret and chat with the crew.
Lancasters were introduced in 1942, and retired in 1963. Only 35 Lancasters completed more than 100 successful operations each, and over 3,000 were lost in action. Don’t miss this opportunity to get up close with history.
The museum is open to the public on July 30 and July 31 from 10:00 a.m. until 8 p.m., August 1 from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. and August 2 from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Admission is $5.00 for children and seniors, and $10.00 for adults. For more information, go to www.wcam.mb.ca.
