Feisty FemFest

FemFest 2010: On the Edge, the annual festival of plays by women, for everyone, will push the boundaries of conventional theatre. The line-up includes plays that highlight societal issues, ranging from racism to labioplasty, environmental activism and more.
This year’s highlight is internationally acclaimed artist d’bi young. d’bi’s new piece, she, will be performed at FemFest and will also be performed at the Peace and Justice Society Conference.
FemFest runs at the Canwest Centre for Theatre and Film at the University of Winnipeg, 400 Colony Street from September 25 until October 2.
