Culture Days
Written by Karine Driedger
Pre-event activities are planned at The Forks during the day, including a workshop with L’Ensemble Folklorique de la rivière-rouge, t-shirt and glass painting, a filmmaking workshop and a performance by the Summerbear Dance Troup.
Activities in Winnipeg will vary from dance and acting workshops, behind the scenes tours, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s street festival celebrating dance, and collective art projects. Activities will take place in Osborne Village, downtown, the Exchange District and St. Boniface, among other locations.
Be sure to check out Scotiabank Nuit Blanche on Saturday, September 25 from 6:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. The nightlong event will celebrate the arts, including multi-disciplinary performances, artists’ talks and film screenings. A free shuttle bus service will be offered throughout the night so participants can move easily from St. Boniface to the Exchange District, the Manitoba Museum and the Winnipeg Art Gallery.
