Celebrate the Season
Written by Admin
We feature chic holiday wear and party fare that’s amazingly simple to make. A chaotic mix of pint-sized models, cupcakes, ornaments, hair clips and a four-legged friend resulted in a fun morning (with only one minor injury) and produced some sweet snaps that showcase adorable clothes your kids will love to wear.
Our purse strings may be a little tighter this year, but don’t forget to give back, too. In this issue we recognize the giving spirit I am proud to see in so many in Winnipeggers. During our photo shoot at Winnipeg Harvest I had a chance to speak with board president, lawyer, teacher and mom Sherri Walsh. When she was asked how she did it all without tiring, she replied, “Who says I’m not tired?” But she does it anyway, as do so many local volunteers, knowing the good they are doing is well worth their efforts. What would our community do without people like Sherri, as well as Major Susan van Duinen of the Salvation Army, and the tireless volunteers at the Christmas Cheer Board who literally deliver Christmas for so many families each year? You can read about them on the following pages.
Amidst the hustle and bustle that the season inevitably brings, I hope you take some time to enjoy your friends and family.
Cheers to you!
