Editor's Persp Fall 09
Written by Lindsay Duke
Once you’ve got the kids set up for extracurriculars, it’s a good time to get back to the gym yourself. Check out our Fitness article highlighting the importance of weight training for women.
While most of us welcome back the orderly routine of fall in these ways, I am reminded of the women and girls who are not able to participate in such privileged activities. Our first Issues feature—Local girls—looks at the horrifying reality of human trafficking and the difference three local women are making in the area. The issue is a heavy one, and the statistics staggering, but my hope is that you read of the amazing women fighting for the cause, and are inspired to do something about it yourself.
