Editor's Perspective
Written by Lindsay Duke
It's a season of "firsts," too–first days of school and (gasp) the first day of snow.
Like the season, this issue is full of changes and "firsts." We recently asked you, our readers, to complete an online survey. Based on the results, we have committed to bring you more of what you want in the magazine and have accordingly made some big changes—including adding Dream Spaces Magazine back into the pages of Winnipeg Women—that mean a big magazine, too (which you also asked for!). Watch for even more exciting changes in our winter issue, out the first week of December.
Another sign that we're back in the swing of things is signing up for season tickets to our favourite performing arts groups. As the "Cultural Capital of Canada," we are so lucky to have such quality theatre, dance, opera and music, all easily accessible and affordable. In this issue we profile seven local women—at various stages in their careers—who are contributing to our arts scene. Read about them on page 37 and then check out all the amazing shows going on this fall and winter on our website, winnipegwomen.net.
As always, we love hearing from you. Email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
