Savouring Summer

In this issue we hope to help you get the most out of outdoor living this season. From joining an urban community garden to chic outdoor accessories and bright sundresses to our favourite summer beauty products, there's plenty of seasonal inspiration on our pages.

This issue also features two organizations that are helping to improve the lives of local women in very different ways. Guiding Winnipeg women on the path through business ownership, the Women's Enterprise Centre does an amazing job advising women entrepreneurs from the planning stages to maintaining established businesses. The Fort Garry Women's Resource Centre may not be as recognizable, but they are doing equally as important work, counseling women and teens on everything from abuse to financial planning.

A little advance planning is key to keeping your ride on the road. Our car care guide gives some advice to those of us who are not so savvy with all things automotive. Those of you who are a little more mechanically experienced, and even those who aren't, will enjoy reading about Ashley Donald's dirt track racing adventures.

So take this magazine, grab a towel (and some sunscreen) and get outside.
