Eco-friendly paper has never looked this chic!
What began as a passion for drawing and designing her own cards grew into a business for Gloria Wall, who founded Kate & Birdie Paper Company in 2004 after the birth of her daughter.
“It was a natural thing for me, because I spent so much time drawing and creating cards for friends and family already,” says Wall. “When I was at home with my daughter and had more time to spend on it, that’s when my friends started to call and ask for assorted packs of ten. It was a natural flow.”
Everything Wall creates is printed on recycled stock, wrapped in biodegradable cellophane wrapping and printed with vegetable-based ink using wind energy, making her beautiful paper products environmentally friendly.
“Everything is hand-illustrated in house by me, and that makes it kind of unique,” says Wall.
Wall recently launched a line of Kate & Birdie wrapping paper, just in time for the holidays. Her collection of unique stationary, greeting cards, wrapping paper and canvas prints is now available in over 600 stores around the globe. Locally, her products can be found at McNally Robinson, Creative Paper Gallery, Toad Hall Toys and Chapters/Indigo Booksellers.
Kate & Birdie will also be launching a new website that will feature online shopping. Check out what Kate & Birdie Paper Company has to offer at www.kateandbirdie.com.
