Lend a hand and celebrate the beginning of National Forest Week at FortWhyte Alive! Qualico has donated 10,000 white spruce seedlings to plant throughout FortWhyte’s 640 acres. Volunteer to plant the first 1000 seedlings on Sept. 19, 2010 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Don’t forget to bring a round-nosed spade and sturdy footwear! Admission to FortWhyte Alive is free for volunteer tree planters. For more information, go to www.fortwhyte.org.
